Victoria Hughes, Harpist

Victoria teaches
the full versatility of the harp

Victoria Hughes holds a degree in classical music, but she also performed for several years on cruise lines as a featured entertainer playing pop muic, standards and broadway tunes with her own band.

Because of this combination of experience, she is one of the few harpists that can teach classical as well as jazz and popular styles on the harp. She also teaches a lot of Celtic, or Irish, folk music.

A native San Franciscan, Victoria received her early training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music before being awarded a scholarship to the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where she graduated with her degree in harp under Jeanne Chalifoux.
